Turtle Island Honk & the Scratch Ensemble

Ruth and Chuck Merrill were two of Lupercalia Artistic Director Josh Richardson’s earliest supporters in his efforts to promote music in Grey & Bruce counties.   They have been making music and hosting concerts in their rural Bruce Peninsula home for nearly three decades.  Now they make their first Lupercalia appearance with Turtle Island Honk & the Scratch Ensemble – a rag tag mixture of down home, traditional, and obscure tunes that will make you yearn for the hearth of a warm wood stove.
