Hunter & Wagler

Jason Hunter is an exceedingly talented saxophone player and improviser. Hunter studied jazz at McGill and The New England Conservatory and spent a decade playing around Boston and New York City with some of the best modern improvisers in the world before returning to his hometown of Kincardine. Tyler Wagler is a bass player who genre hops from jazz (Sploink, Hammerton/Wagler) to reggae (Friendlyness & The Human Rights) to folk (david sereda, Larry Jensen) on a daily basis. As a duo they are eager to pick up where they left off after their performance at Otherfolk 2011 with a set of originals, free improvisation and deconstructed jazz standards.
